Miracle Principle 29

Principle 29: Miracles praise God through you. They praise Him by honoring His creations, affirming their perfection. They heal because they deny body-identification and affirm spirit-identification. (T-1.I.29)

COURSE REFERENCES

The ego tries to exploit all situations into forms of praise for itself in order to overcome its doubts. It will remain doubtful as long as you believe in its existence. You who made it cannot trust it, because in your right mind you realize it is not real. The only sane solution is not to try to change the ego, but to change your mind about the world of illusion, understanding that it is not real. You are not a part of the world. You are a part of reality which stands unchanged beyond the reach of your ego but within easy reach of spirit. When you are afraid, be still and know that God is real, and you are His beloved Son in whom He is well pleased. Do not let your ego dispute this, because the ego cannot know what is as far beyond its reach as you are. (T-4.I.8:1-7)

It has never really entered your mind to give up every idea you ever had that opposes knowledge. You retain thousands of little scraps of fear that prevent the Holy One from entering. Light cannot penetrate through the walls you make to block it, and it is forever unwilling to destroy what you have made. No one can see through a wall, but Jesus can step around it. Watch your mind for the scraps of fear, or you will be unable to ask him to do so, as you will be unaware that his help is needed here. (T-4.III.7:1-5)

The Holy Spirit begins by perceiving you as perfect. Knowing this perfection is shared He recognizes it in others, thus strengthening it in both. Instead of anger or fear this arouses love for both, because it establishes inclusion. Perceiving equality, the Holy Spirit perceives equal needs. This invites Atonement (undoing of fear) automatically, because Atonement is the one need in this world that is universal. To perceive yourself this way is the only way in which you can find happiness in the world. That is because it is the acknowledgment that you are not in this world, for the world is unhappy. (T-6.II.5:1-7)

How else can you find joy in a joyless place except by realizing you are not there? You cannot be anywhere God did not put you, and God created you as part of Him. That is both where you are and what you are. It is completely unalterable. It is total inclusion. You cannot change it now or ever. It is forever true. It is not a belief, but Fact. (T-6.II.6:1-8)

The Bible repeatedly states that you should praise God. This hardly means that you should tell Him how wonderful He is. (T-4.VII.6:1-2) God has kept your kingdom for you but He cannot share His joy with you until you know it with your whole mind. Yet He can share His joy with you when you share His revelations with others through the attitudes that the knowledge from His revelations bring. This is how you praise God.

God is praised whenever any mind learns to be wholly helpful. This is impossible without being wholly harmless, because the two beliefs must coexist. The truly helpful are invulnerable because they are not protecting their egos and so nothing can hurt them. Their helpfulness is their praise of God, and He will return their praise of Him because they are like Him, and they can thus rejoice together. The truly helpful are God’s miracle workers, whom Jesus directs until all are united in the joy of the Kingdom. Jesus will direct you to wherever you can be truly helpful, and to whoever can follow his guidance through you. (T-4.VII.8:1-8)

If your will were not the same as that of Jesus, it would not be your Father’s will. This would mean you have imprisoned your will and have not let it be free. Of yourself you can do nothing, because of yourself you are nothing. Jesus is nothing without the Father and you are nothing without Jesus, because by denying the Father you deny yourself. (T-8.IV.7:1-4) Jesus will always remember you, and in his remembrance of you lies your remembrance of yourself. In your remembrance of each other lies your remembrance of God. And in this remembrance lies your freedom because your freedom is in Him. And by offering freedom you will be free. (T-8.IV.7:5-7)

If your brothers are part of you and you blame them for your deprivation, you are blaming yourself. And you cannot blame yourself without blaming them. That is why blame must be undone, not seen elsewhere. Lay it on yourself and you cannot know yourself, for only the ego blames at all. Self-blame is therefore ego identification and is as much an ego defense as blaming others. You cannot enter God's Presence if you attack His Son. (T-11.IV.5:1-6) And both you and your brother are God's Son. Only those who give over all desire to reject can know that their own rejection is impossible. (T-3.VI.9:1) And "blame" is rejection. So "blame" is done and over. Anything that blocks you from loving your brother and being in God's Presence is finished. Knowing God is SURELY more valuable to you than blaming yourself or your brothers, yes?  Blaming gets you nowhere, whereas as LOVE is shared with GOD and is everywhere without end!!

Innocence is incapable of sacrificing anything, because the innocent mind has everything and strives only to protect its wholeness. It cannot project. It can only honor other minds, because honor is the natural greeting of the truly loved to others who are like them. (T-3.I.6:1-3)

When the body ceases to attract you, and when you place no value on it as a means of getting anything, then there will be no interference in communication and your thoughts will be as free as God's. (T-15.IX.7:1) As you let the Holy Spirit teach you how to use the body only for purposes of communication and renounce its use for separation and attack and blame which the ego sees in it, you will learn you have no need of a body at all. (T-15.IX.7:2)

Miracles reawaken the awareness that the spirit, not the body is the altar of truth. This is the recognition that leads to the healing power of the miracle. (T-1.20:1-2)

So do you want to hear the Voice for God? "When His Son lifts his voice in praise of his Creator, he will hear the Voice for his Father." (T-11.IV.5:7) Alone we are all lowly, but together we shine with brightness so intense that none of us alone can even think of it. Before the glorious radiance of the Kingdom, guilt melts away. It is transformed into kindness and will never more be what it was. Every reaction you experience will be so purified that it is fitting as a hymn of praise unto your Father. (T-13.X.14:1-4)

In the holy instant there are no bodies, and you experience only the attraction of God. Accepting it as undivided you join Him wholly, in an instant, for you would place no limits on your union with Him. The reality of this relationship (with God) becomes the only truth that you could ever want. All truth is here, because GOD IS. (T-15.IX.7:3-6)

Prayer:

The Kingdom is perfectly united and perfectly protected, and the ego will not prevail against it. Amen. (T-4.III.1:12-13)
